| Public Enemy puts spotlight on Skid Row Downtown Los Angeles with RAP giveback Festival |
The positive energy from the historic "Operation Skid Row Music Festival" from 1/15/2012. The outdoors event took place at 6th and Gladys Ave.
The more than four hour-long event RAP Giveback with participants included Public Enemy, Kurupt, King T, Egyptian Lover, Nipsey Hussle, Mellow Man Ace and Zzyzzx, Sir Jinx and General Population, Yo-Yo, OG Kid Frost, Lady of Rage, LA Posse, Breeze, Rapper's Rapp Group, Ronnie Hudson, X-Clan, Freestyle Fellowship, Stylistik Jones, Medusa, MASK featuring Money-B from Digital Underground, Knowledge and more.
Skid Row artists included Twin- Skid Row Flowing, Unkal Bean, the Skid Row Players aka the Skid Row drummers, Skid Row Unit, College Division and of course Crushow!
This is a moment in time that our community should be extremely PROUD of because on this day, it was "cool" to be from Skid Row! Let's all keep building so that we can collectively hold our heads up for many more days, weeks and then years!

| Public Enemy Starts off YEAR25 2012 Smashing Shows Out West |
PE brought the noise into the new year playing 4 very significant performances surrounding the Dr Martin Luther King Holiday. 20 years after the release of By The Time I Get To Arizona, PE played with A.D. The amazing SPEECH and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT in Atlanta on January 13.The show also featured famed HEAVY D and the BOYZ DJ EDDIE F, as it was a getting together of the minds, hearts, souls and bodies.
Then PE headed west playing the famed Ventura Theatre where they performed 2 1/2 hours in a fully electric show followed the next day in downtown Los Angeles at a 10 am press conference then free performance at SKID ROW LA, the largest concentration of homeless people in the USA.
From there the RED,BLACK, and GREEN machine jetted down to San Diego and played another 2 hours , where Chuck D lost his voice by the end of the weekends workload but the crowd enjoyed all the rest of the Enemy on point.

| Public Enemy Leads Operation SKIDROW Music Giveback Festival |
Dubbed as both the Operation Skid Row Music Festival and the Occupy Skid Row Music Festival, on January 15th Chuck D and Public Enemy, along with a dozen or more (mostly old school Los Angeles) hip-hop acts will put on a free concert for the down-on-their-luck residents of Los Angeles' desolate Skid Row district.
The list of other performers for this incredible all afternoon event, that will also be open for free to anyone from anywhere who wishes to attend, includes Freestyle Fellowship, YO YO,Nipsy Hustle, XClan, Kurupt from The Dogg Pound, Mellow Man Ace and The ZZYZZX, King T, Rapper's Rapp Group, Sir Jinx and General Population,Stliztik Jonz, JAHI, Arise Roots,The Real McCoy,Skid Row Flowing, Drummers, Joses Song, Linda Harris, Big Mack,.
